Raft BuildingA great activity for practical problem solving and team work with a tangiable conclusion. The group is given a set of equipment from which they must construct a raft that will transport the group accross the water. With a little guidance, enthusiasm, and some trial and error, vessels begin to take shape. A quick test run, and possibly some minor adjustments, puts the group on the water to their destination.

The destination can be 100 metres away or a 3 day trip down the river. This activity combines well with a canoeing journey, and breaks up the mode of transport whilst providing a genuine sense of satisfaction for the group's achievements. |
